CERRO 2018 NAPA VALLEY CABERNET SAUVIGNON RED BLEND Copy

A bold and rustic blend showcasing three brawny varietals in a polished Napa style. Petit Verdot is sourced from two choice vineyard blocks in Rutherford and Oak Knoll, forming the core of the blend. This supple-tannined framework is braced by Calistoga Cabernet Sauvignon and fleshed out with the soft fruit and inky freshness of Petite Verdot - 55% Cabernet Sauvignon - 35%, Petit Sirah.  Dark violet in color with heady aromas of dark berries dried flowers and leather. 

Winemaking & Tasting Notes

Grapes were harvested at peak ripeness on September 22 from Rutherford and Oak Knoll. After a six-day cold soak, we employed a lengthy and cool and fermentation to draw out fine tannins and phenolics and to promote stable color.  The wine was barreled down to a modest oak regime (30% new French barrels for 30 months).
