CERRO 2019 NAPA VALLEY CABERNET SAUVIGNON RED BLEND

70% Cabernet Sauvignon blended with Petite Verdo & Petite Sirah.  A bold and rustic blend showcasing three brawny varietals in a polished Napa style. Petit Verdot is sourced from two choice vineyard blocks in Rutherford and Oak Knoll, forming the core of the blend. This supple-tannined framework is braced by Calistoga Cabernet Sauvignon and fleshed out with the soft fruit and inky freshness.  Dark violet in color with heady aromas of dark berries dried flowers and leather. 

Winemaking & Tasting Notes

Grapes were harvested at peak ripeness on September 22 from Rutherford and Oak Knoll. After a six-day cold soak, we employed a lengthy and cool and fermentation to draw out fine tannins and phenolics and to promote stable color.  The wine was barreled down to a modest oak regime (30% new French barrels for 30 months).
