2019 Boheme Pinot Noir Stuller Vineyard Sonoma Coast
97 Points Wine Enthusiast
From the tippy-top of the vineyard where the air is as crisp as a freshly picked apple, this wine is like a whiff of white pepper and a bouquet of rose petals giving you a playful wink from the get-go. It's got that zingy acidity that dances with layers of strawberry, a dash of cardamom, and a sprinkle of forest pine – basically, a flavor fiesta! The texture is as cool as a slate sidewalk, giving off vibes of minerality and hints of dark tea. Wine Enthusiast was so smitten; they gave it a whopping 97 points!
Stuller Vineyard grows amid redwoods on the Sonoma Coast Range at 1,209 feet elevation with views to the Pacific, 6.4 miles west. Ocean breeze and the scent of redwood forest drift over the two vineyard blocks: one steep slope of clay loam (Dijon 115) and a gravelly hilltop (Dijon 667).
2020 Pinot Noir: Stuller Vineyard was harvested in stages between August 30th and September 18th with a yield of 1.34 tons per acre. The 30% whole-cluster fermentation lots received cold-soak and hand punch-down treatment, then aged 21 months in 20% new French Burgundy barrels before bottling.
