2018 COHO "HEADWATERS" RED BLEND NAPA VALLEY
COHO Headwaters, our Bordeaux-style blend, leans heavily on its roots in Coombsville, the cool climate appellation just east of downtown Napa. The late afternoon and evening fog that filters through the vineyards imparts bright, spicy aromatics and flavors in the wine. The cool temperatures also maintain the molecular structure of the tannins leaving them refined and supple on the palate. The fruit for the 2018 COHO Headwaters was grown on three small family owned Coombsville vineyards and on the Sugarloaf East Vineyard southeast of the town of Napa. An ideal growing season in 2018 of sunny days and marine influenced nights imbued our wine with rich red and blue fruit flavors of plum, mulberries, and pomegranate. Full flavored and complex, the wine shows a vitality from its natural acidity that promises enjoyment for years to come. Varietal Composition: 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 39% Merlot, 15% Petit Verdot Appellation: Napa Valley
